Weather at the Farm

- I started a successful home-based business designing websites and magazine ads in 2001, and have been happily working from our home (and farm) since then. My husband joined the business in 2006. Our business is called PacaPages.com.
We also raise alpacas and have a yarn shop on the farm where we sell end products made from our alpacas' fleece: yarn, rugs, quilt batting, purses, gloves, scarves.
We have three children at home. We are also caring for 12 (more or less) alpacas, 3 dogs, 2 chickens and 7 cats.
We have recently added solar panels to provide a little more than half of the electricity we use in our home.
I am a vegetarian and I strongly encourage everyone to give up beef today. Our world can no longer support clear cutting forests to raise beef for fast food.
We can also make a difference by signing petitions and learning about the issues. I will forward some of my favorite organizations to you if you're interested (Organic Consumers Association and National Resources Defense Council). It only takes a few minutes to read an occasional newsletter and add your name electronically to a petition.
